Job Description (partial): The Video Editor’s primary is to document events in the community through compelling videography captured in an ethical manner. Successful candidate will need to perform the essential functions of the job: Ensures superior quality in VNN’s news, sports, and entertainment broadcast, as well as promotional video as assigned Creates television and radio broadcast commercials using information provided by sales reps and customers Demonstrates a mastery of video-editing software such as Final Cut Pro in affectively combing visuals and sound Creates graphics for on-air use, maintains an accurate video archive Works both on a team and independently for long hours at a time, meeting established deadlines Occasionally backfills for videographers and executive producers Fosters a culture of collaboration and contributes to a healthy team dynamic Provides accurate information for captioning and scripts In order to be qualified for this role, the following is required: Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; two years experience as a videographer or video editor or equivalent combination of education and experience.
